Within the Sochi 2016 International Investment Forum, Gazpromneft has signed an agreement with the Kamchatka Region government on cooperation regarding the import substitution of lubricants and supply of bitumen for road construction. The document was signed by Alexander Dybal – the board member of Gazpromneft, and Marina Subbota – the Deputy Prime Minister of the Kamchatka Region.
Gazpromeft-Lubricants (the oil business operator of Gazpromneft) will extend cooperation with city and municipal companies of the region under the agreement in order to find Russian-made high-quality lubricants to completely replace expensive import analogs.
The energy area, housing and public utilities, industrial system are the import substitution priorities. In addition, the partners will be provided with a qualified engineering and service support.
The company will also expand the sales of G-Energy engine oils in the region, which will make it possible for car owners to reduce maintenance costs.
According to the expert evaluation, the annual requirement of the Kamchatka Region for lubricants exceeds 4.5 thousand tons. The agreement will make it possible to significantly reduce the dependence on imports in the region by the end of 2016, saving about 20% of the regional budget allocated for purchasing of motor fuels.
The agreement also provides for the delivery of modern bitumen materials for road construction by the bitumen business operator of Gazpromneft, and expansion of research activities for the development of bitumen compounds with regard to the climatic environmental conditions of the region. An experimental road section will be built in the territory of the Kamchatka Region to monitor the efficiency of high-technology products of Gazpromneft. There are already ten such sections in the territory of Russia and Kazakhstan, which prove the benefits of modern materials in comparison with the traditional bitumen.
