In October, Gazpromneft Lubricants, a subsidiary of Gazprom Neft, increased the sales of its Premium G-Family oils to record 1.500 tons. Nearly 1,300 tons of the volume were sold in Russia and CIS, while over 200 tons – in Italy and other parts of Europe.
In January– October, 2012, G-Family oils sales reached 8,000 tons – 2.5 times higher compared to the same period of 2011. The sales growth was stimulated by the expansion of the company's distribution channels. In 2012, Gazpromneft Lubricants signed several supply contracts with workshops on G-Energy premium oils. Today, G-Energy is used at 1200 workshops. The company has also widened its product portfolio: new generation synthetic diesel oils have been marketed under G-Profi GTS, G-Profi GT, and G-Profi LA brands, along with G-Energy Antifreeze coolants range.
Gazpromneft Lubricants has made much progress partnering Russian and foreign automotive OEMs. In 2012, the company initiated direct supplies to General Motors in Kaliningrad and extended the supply deal with Mercedes Benz Trucks Vostok (Naberezhnye Chelny). Gazpromneft Lubricants now delivers G-Family branded oils to Mercedes-Benz' Serbian workshops for warranty and post-warranty servicing of cars and trucks. Much work has been done to achieve these results: within 2011-2012 Gazpromneft Lubricants carried out a lot of test to prove the lubricants compliance with OEMs' requirements. In a very short period the company has managed to receive more than ten approvals for the factory fill products.
"Gazpromneft Lubricants has achieved its record sales volume thanks to both its effective marketing strategy and the launch of state-of-the-art manufacturing site in Omsk with production capacity exceeding that of the company's lube blending plant in Bari. These factors will further promote the growth of our business both in Russia and across the world," - says Levan Kadagidze, Commercial Director, Gazpromneft Lubricants.
